Meet our Founder & Trainer

Liz Blasio is the Founder and Director of Progressive School for Dogs.  Liz brings over 30 years of hands-on training with dogs and owners and is a current member of The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT).  The training methods are proven, effective and motivational.  With the increased demand of Agility throughout the country, Liz implemented Agility training at our facility.  The applied teaching methods Liz uses are well defined in the performance of her own dogs as well as her students.

Liz has put agility titles on all of her dogs.  Beloved Jazz, a black Labrador Retriever earned a MACH title in October of 2004 and a MACH 2 in May of 2006.  Jordy, a Shetland Sheepdog has her MX and MXJ title .  Ticket has her MACH2 & ADCH and was also a 2009 National Steeplechase & Grand Prix semifinalist.  2012 1st place National Grand Prix semifinalist & 4th place Natioinal finalist.  Deuce has his MX and MXJ & ADCH titles, and was a 2011 5th place USDAA National Grand Prix semifinalist & 8th place USDAA National Grand Prix finalist.

Liz is the head Agility instructor offering group classes, private sessions, and seminars.  Liz also attends seminars and camps yearly in order to keep up with the most current training techniques.  We have a state of the art indoor climate controlled agility arena with artifical turf for all of the agility classes & privates sessions.  Video analysis is available.  This addition provides a comprehensive instructional tool used in private sessions with instantaneous feedback to help handler/dog teams improve their performance.
